OUR MISSION

 

The Lucan Area Heritage Society and the Township of Lucan Biddulph operate a museum dedicated to the preservation and retelling of the most famous historical events of the area…events such as the founding of Wilberforce by a Black community from Cincinnati, the arrival and settlement of the area by Irish immmigrants and the infamous Donnelly murders, recounted in song, story and plays throughout Canada.

Here at the Lucan Area Heritage & Donnelly Museum, we are also committed to providing full accessibility for all of our visitors.

 

TOURS

 

Pre-booked Tours Available for Groups of 10 or More!
 
The Museum hosts school tours, coach bus tours, special interest groups, and family groups year-round. 
A guided tour of the Museum and its facilities.
 
If you've got the bus, we've got the tour!
 
Tour the Museum site then take the 'Vigilante Bus Tour' hosted by a Museum representative which will trace the path taken by the Vigilance Committee the night of February 3, and early morning hours of February 4, 1880 when the Donnelly Family was massacred.

OPENING DAY is Tuesday, MAY 1, 2012!  Featuring The Donnelly exhibit and "A Place Called Freedom:  The History of Wilberforce"!

The Titanic Ball was a sold out event held in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the tragic sinking of the Titanic.  If you attended the event and wish to share your photos, join us on Facebook and share them with all of our followers!
