Covid-19 Safety
The Lucan and Area Heritage Society has worked hard during the off-season to make our museum as Covid-safe as we can. To open in a manner that can be as safe to the public as possible, we will be asking our visitors to follow the following steps when visiting the museum:
-
Wear a mask that covers the nose and chin when inside any of our buildings, or interacting with any of our staff or visitors.
-
Sanitize your hands upon entry to the museum.
-
Maintain a 6ft gap between yourself, and visitors not within your bubble
-
Most importantly, please do not visit the museum if you have had:
-
Close contact with anyone who has COVID-19, or is exhibiting symptoms consistent with COVID-19.
-
Have any symptoms consistent with COVID-19.
-
The steps we have taken to serve our visitors safely:
-
Our museum visit will follow a unidirectional path for visitors. This will prevent visitors from different social bubbles from crossing each other.
-
Barriers have been placed between our staff and visitors to maintain safety where social distancing is not possible.
-
Hand-sanitizing stations will be placed throughout the museum.
-
We will be limiting ourselves to 25% capacity throughout the season.
-
Staff will wear masks and face-shields (or be stationed behind barriers) when interacting with the public.
-
We clean and disinfect any surfaces regularly touched by staff and visitors.
-
Daily screening of our staff.
These steps may create the need to wait between different social bubbles visiting the museum. We ask our visitors for patience as we work our way through the pandemic.
